Me: How was the dentist? Did you get a free toothbrush?
Hubby: Yeah, but I think they changed my toothpaste?
Me: Did they give you old man toothpaste.
Hubby: [Looking incredulous] Yeah, I think they did give me old man toothpaste.
Me: Did they give you Sensodyne?
Hubby: Yeah! I think they did give me Sensodyne. That means I am an old man!

Sexy chocolate
A typical conversation between my husband and I.
Me: I don't want to watch Jurassic Park.
Hubby: When the dinosaurs come, I'm going to take you to them.
Me: No, they'll eat me. I'm quite tasty.
Hubby: What about me?
Me: I taste like chicken.
Hubby: Well, I taste like chocolate.
Me: Dinosaurs don't like chocolate.
Hubby: I'm sexy chocolate. They like sexy chocolate.

There and back again
Home from my week-long stay with my sister. I was so sad to leave. Leave the smiles, the hugs, the giggling, the newborn snuggle loving, the Thomas-watching (Okay, maybe not so sad about that). I'm was also glad to be home and see Jonathan. I missed him so much. He bought me flowers and candy. Guess I was missed too. The week was a success. Baby Abby is a little charmer. She loves to be held close and rockednot to mention she loves to eat. Not sure Mom got much rest with Abby being so hungry. AJ has gotten so big, and so independent. I can't decide who I'll miss most, but I guess I don't have decide. I love em all so much. I'm so lucky to be able to have spent time with the little family. Not sure when I'll be able to see them again. Good thing there's Skype! Now I need to make plans to see my new nephew. I'm a busy aunt!

My husband is no pretzel
In my new found yoga glory, and being the kind of wife that I am, I wanted to see if Jonathan could do a few of my favorite/challenging posesto possibly share yoga with him. We started with downward-facing dog, and ended up in a fit of giggles. My husband wouldn't last in yoga. He'd be the guy in the back snickering. Yes, he'd be one of those yogis.
Last night, in an attempt to once again share what I feel is very uplifting and inspiring activity, I had him lay on the floor and shift on to his hip, but keep both shoulders on the ground to achieve a twist. While I was busy manipulating his body into the pose and pushing in all the right spots, I look up to see him laughing. "I'm not a pretzel."
Guess yoga isn't something I'm going to share with my partner. I'm going down this road alone.
